Lay
Hong Food
Corporation
(LHFC) is a
subsidiary
company Lay
Hong Berhad.
The company
has a poultry
processing
facilities
consisting of
a
slaughterhouse,
cutting room
and further
processing at
Bagan
Tengkorak,
Tanjong Karang
in the State
of Selangor.
The plant was
built in 2003
and production
started in
mid-August
2004. The
facilities
have undergone
several
renovations
and upgrading
to meet
domestic and
international
standard.
The
slaughterhouse
has up to date
facilities
where live
birds are
slaughtered,
dressed,
cleaned,
chilled, cut
and deboned.
The chicken
meat is
further
processed into
nugget,
frankfurter
and fried
chicken. The
chilling
process where
the dressed
chickens are
cooled down to
4°C, is using
air chilled
technology.
LHFC is
committed to
produce high
quality, safe
and Halal
products
through
implementation
of Quality
System (MS ISO
9001:2008),
Hazard
Analysis and
Critical
Control Points
(HACCP) and
Halal
Assurance
System (HAS).
All our
products are
certified
Halal by the
Department of
Islamic
Development
Malaysia
(JAKIM). Our
MS ISO
9001:2008 is
certified by
the Lloyd’s
Register
Quality
Assurance
(LRQA). Above
all, we are in
the Meat
Inspection
Program of the
Department of
Veterinary
Services
(DVS),
Ministry of
Agriculture
Malaysia and
this authority
awards logo
under the
Veterinary
Health Mark
(VHM) scheme.
The
slaughterhouse
has the
processing
capacity of
6000 birds per
hour or about
48000 birds
per 8 hours
shift, and
currently
20000 to 30000
birds per day
are
slaughtered.
The Company
will increase
the capacity
of production
when the
demand on the
products
increases. In
the following

posted all
information of
each products
produced by
the
slaughterhouse.
Our production
system is
designed to
produce
chicken and
chicken
products of
highest
quality, safe
and Halal. We
source live
birds for
slaughter from
our own farms.
Each
consignment of
birds came to
our plant
carries health
certificate
which contains
information on
health status
of the bird
prior to
catching and
loading. By
this way the
plant manager
monitors the
status of the
birds prior to
slaughter and
only healthy
birds are
allowed for
slaughter. In
the plant,
individual
bird is
examined at
the shackling
line and birds
which are not
fit shall be
removed from
the line. Post
mortem
inspection is
done following
the procedures
and protocols
issued by The
Department of
Veterinary
Services of
Malaysia.
